“New Pages” is a work that marks the synthesis of a musical exploration that lasted many years.
Over time, we think we have managed to create songs and arrangements capable of enhancing instruments that are not only different but also unique; folk, classical, and modern music are words that only partially define our work.
We like to make music that speaks to everyone, bringing out the unity of a “common feeling” and stimulating different musical tastes.

“New pages” è un lavoro che segna la sintesi di una esplorazione musicale durata molti anni.
Nel tempo pensiamo di essere riusciti a creare brani e arrangiamenti capaci di valorizzare strumenti così diversi ma anche così unici; musica folk, classica, moderna, sono parole che solo parzialmente definiscono il nostro lavoro.
Ci piace fare una musica che parli a tutti, che sappia far emergere l'unità di un “sentire comune” e stimolare gusti musicali diversi.

About Trio Calicantus
The reworking of music from various repertoires (classical, folk, and film) takes place with a patient work of transcription and arrangement. The intent is to reread the various works through new and original timbres and to contribute to a new interpretative reading.
In addition to performing music by other authors, the Trio has enriched the program with original music composed by the musicians and has performed at various festivals in Italy and abroad.
The CALICANTUS Trio was born in 2013, inspired by three musician friends who wanted to explore new sounds by combining instruments from different musical backgrounds.
Il Trio CALICANTUS nasce nel 2013 dal desiderio di tre amici musicisti di esplorare nuove sonorità attraverso l'accostamento di strumenti provenienti da ambiti musicali diversi. La rielaborazione di musiche tratte da vari repertori (classico, folk e da film) avviene con un lavoro paziente di trascrizione e arrangiamento. L'intento è quello di rileggere le varie opere attraverso vestiti timbrici inediti e originali e di contribuire ad una lettura interpretativa nuova.
Oltre ad eseguire musiche di altri autori il Trio negli anni ha arricchito il programma con musiche originali composte dai musicisti stessi.
Negli anni si è esibito all'interno di vari festivals in Italia e all'estero.
ELEONORA RAPONE
Pianista clavicembalista compositrice ed organettista.
Docente di pianoforte organetto e ritmica Dalcroze.
Attiva nel mondo musicale e teatrale per concerti e spettacoli con entrambi gli strumenti.
Insegna a Bellinzona, Lugano e Luvinate.
MARLEEN BERGÉ
Nata in Belgio, dove si diploma in storia della musica, musica da camera e violoncello.
Si perfeziona con Edmond Carlier 1° violoncello dell’ opera di Bruxelles e in seguito in Italia con Susan Moses 1° violoncello dei Solisti Veneti.
In Italia crea il quartetto Toscanini composto da clarinetto violino viola e violoncello. Per 4 anni svolgono un intensa attività concertistica.
Si diploma nel metodo Willems nel 2003 a Udine e nel metodo Suzuki nel 2008 a Torino sotto la guida di Antonio Mosca.
E membro del trio Calicantus con cui ha fatto 2 tournée ( 2019 e 2022) in Belgio. Nel 2024 esce il loro 2° CD New Pages.
Nel 2012 fonda la scuola a Laveno Mombello“ educazione alla musica” www.museocasanova.it che dirige tutt’ora.
GIANLUCA FORTINO
Nato in Svizzera il 17 Agosto del 1976, ha iniziato a studiare chitarra a 11 anni.
Nel 2003 ha conseguito il diploma di chitarra presso il Conservatorio di musica di Novara. Parallelamente all'insegnamento dello strumento ha seguito corsi di didattica strumentale e Masterclass con chitarristi di riconosciuto valore.
Dal 1998 al 2015 è stato membro dell’orchestra di chitarre Sextha Consort di Varese con cui ha pubblicato 2 Cd. Dal 2004 al 2013 ha suonato in duo con la sorella clarinettista Sabrina Fortino.
Ha studiato direzione d’orchestra. Dal 2008 dirige il Gruppo Mandolinistico Eliante di Mendrisio. Ha diretto l'orchestra a plettro dell' Accademia Internazionale di Mandolino, fondata dal mandolinista Carlo Aonzo, svolgendo concerti in Spagna, Italia, Svizzera e Germania.
Come compositore ha pubblicato musica per la Trekel Musikverlag (Germania) per le Productions d'Oz (Canada) e le edizioni Sinfonica (Italia).
ELEONORA RAPONE
A versatile musician, weaving magic as a pianist, harpsichordist, composer, and accordionist. A devoted Dalcroze accordionist and rhythm instructor, she combines the art of movement and sound perfectly.
Her captivating performances enchant both the concert stage and theatrical productions, where she seamlessly blends the voices of her instruments.
Eleonora shares her passion for music and rhythm through teaching in the vibrant cities of Bellinzona, Lugano, and Luvinate, inspiring the next generation of artists.
GIANLUCA FORTINO
Born in Switzerland on August 17, 1976, Ginaluca began studying guitar at 11. In 2003, he obtained a guitar diploma from the Novara Conservatory of Music. In addition to teaching the instrument, he attended instrumental teaching courses and Masterclasses with guitarists of recognized value.
From 1998 to 2015, Gianluca was a member of Varese's Sextha Consort guitar orchestra, with which he published two CDs. From 2004 to 2013, he played in a duo with his clarinetist sister, Sabrina Fortino.
Gianluca also studied conducting. Since 2008, he has directed the Eliante Mandolin Group of Mendrisio and the plectrum orchestra of the International Mandolin Academy, founded by the mandolinist Carlo Aonzo. He has performed concerts in Spain, Italy, Switzerland, and Germany.
As a composer, Gianluca has published music for Trekel Musikverlag (Germany), Productions d'Oz (Canada), and Sinfonica editions (Italy).
MARLEEN BERGÉ
Born in Belgium, she graduated with a degree in history of music, chamber music, and cello. Then, she perfected her skills with Edmond Carlier, the first cellist of the Brussels Opera, and later, in Italy, with Susan Moses, the first cellist of the Solisti Veneti.
She created the Toscanini quartet in Italy, consisting of clarinet, violin, viola, and cello. They performed intensely for four years.
Marlen graduated in the Willems method in 2003 in Udine and the Suzuki method in 2008 in Turin under the guidance of Antonio Mosca.
Marleen is a member of the Calicantus trio, and he has done two tours (2019 and 2022) in Belgium. Their second CD, New Pages, was released in 2024.
In 2012, she founded the school in Laveno, Mombello, "music education" www.museocasanova.it, which she still directs with great success.
